10 Ways to Clear Your Energy Other Than Energy Work

One thing I like to promote in my work is that you cultivate a strong relationship between you and your higher self without the aide or assistance of anyone else.  When you can make time to do this, in any way that resonates for you, I wholeheartedly feel you will always have a greater sense of your needs at any given time.  Sometimes removing clutter in your physical home can help to activate us to make space for a self-care practice that can make us feel renewed but sometimes we need outside help, especially if you are someone who you know will simply never make yourself a priority, or who is easily distracted by all the other things I could be doing in my home (guilty).  I know as an energetic healing practitioner I should be pushing my service and the services of all healing practitioners, but the truth is until healing services are covered under insurance not everyone can afford my services.  In a perfect world, with unlimited funds I would see my energy healing practitioner every 6 weeks or so (Aidan Bliss is my go-to), but as a self-employed small business, especially in this pandemic I have had to get creative when my income doesn’t even cover my bills and I desperately need an energy clearing.  Over a solid decade I have made note of what really works on me!  Fun fact:  I have found no better way to clear the energy in my home then vacuuming with the windows open, and that is something I never would have known had I not started to pay attention to what raises my own energy!  This led me to think that maybe if I compiled a list of what works for me it would inspire some to note what works for them or at least give you a starting point.  Please note that all suggested below are what worked for me and I am in no way promoting these services across the board.  Please never take health advice from a psychic and consult your doctor before trying any new medical practice.

Cleaning or decluttering in your home

Cleaning your home and decluttering the places you spend the most time like your home and work is a great place to start, but I find where you chose to focus your energy can have meaning too so I have broken this down a little.

  • Basement de-clutter can symbolize clearing out your subconscious, meaning you’re calling in patterning that at first can be extremely triggering to you, but allows you to see things clearly so that you can work to heal around this issue in an effort to find peace in this one area.
  • Clearing out your room can symbolize safety, but also bringing in new abundance to you or whomever you may share your room with.
  • Clearing out or deep-cleaning your bathrooms can symbolize a craving for a huge clearing in your home, but also in any conflicted areas of your life.
  • Vacuuming, window cleaning, and mopping of any kind all have a similar energy of house clearing in a similar way to using smoke clearing. This is an extremely personal thing though so chose what speaks to you clearly and what is most ethical.

Body work by a registered professional

Again, this an extremely personal decision based in your comfort level, and I share only from a place of what I have tried as a psychic-medium witch / energetic partitioner and what works for me.  Always consult your doctor before trying anything new and never take you heath advice from a psychic.  I share only from a place of energy release.

One of the absolute best ways to clear my energy is from massage therapy.  I like deep tissue, and practitioners that use tools like cupping, but this will vary from person to person on what they find therapeutic.  Maybe you like a softer approach?  I have a hard time releasing and things get stuck to me like glue, (I am also stubborn AF) so I find someone who really gets in there works better!

If for some reason my energy just won’t release in a massage next up is seeing my chiropractor.  I know not everyone is on board with chiropractic care, and I re-iterate that I am not endorsing any one thing for any one person, but for me it is a huge release and necessary pain reliever for my body and my mind.

Acupuncture is another HUGE release.   My Naturalpath is downtown so I don’t make it in as much as I would like, but when I do, I can quite literally feel my energy elevating when the needles are in.

Find your form of meditation

Find your own version of meditation.  Some people can simply sit and meditate or use a guided app like “InsightTimer” (which is a fabulous app), but I find it impossible, even with a guided app to sit in stillness.  I don’t know if anyone else with an ADHD diagnosis can relate, but it simply is not something that calms me down.  I found it did the opposite; it made me feel as though I was failing at something that was supposed to calm me down.  After a while I started to experiment, developing my own form of meditation. Exploring different methods without pressure over a long period of time has led me to know exactly what works for me and I encourage you to take time to do the same.  It’s through this process I found what version of meditation works for me!

  • Walking meditation with loud music. You can also do this listening to your meditation app!  I have really been trying to walk more!  I became comfortably sedentary during the pandemic, and with my addictive personality type prior to that I become so obsessed with working out I managed to pull my shoulder out once I started going to the gym twice a day (any other addicts out there relate)?   So, I started walking around my new neighbourhood a few months ago as a way to get to know my area with my favourite tunes, which keeps my ADHD brain entertained while I connect deeply to what’s bothering me, what’s on my mind or any insight spirit has for me.  I saw a TikTok talking about how people diagnosed with ADHD can actively listen to two songs or two conversations at once and I really felt seen with that!
  • Playing an “InsightTimer” meditation when I am in bed and ready to fall asleep. For me taking time out of my day to sit and meditate is probably never going to happen, but, doing it when I am slowly drifting off into an unconscious state has a powerful effect on my mental state and even my dreams sometimes.  It’s also an enjoyable way for me to connect to my higher self without this weird pressure that I should be relaxing while I’m wide awake and have zero interest in doing it.

Confession:  I feel like it’s very odd for a medium to not take to mediation to get to a higher consciousness to speak to your past loved ones.  A lot of mediums I love do this, but truth be told, even when I partook in a very beneficial 10-month advanced mediumship course to sharpen my skills during the meditation parts before we connected, I was always opening one eye hoping we were almost done.  All this proves is that everyone has and can develop their own routine to connect.  If you are neurodivergent like me the traditional ways may be a snooze for you too.

Journaling and creating your own tarot/oracle spreads

With me, even if I do all the things to calm my mind there are still times where I feel like my thoughts are working against me.  Creating my own tarot or oracle spread helps me to ask all the questions haunting my mind.  What I do is write my questions down pertaining to the situation I am asking about then pull a card or two for every single question, then I spend a day or two (without pressure) entering a state of automatic writing where anything can come up from my subconscious or spirit guides.  I get very honest with myself and never change the narrative to spare my feelings.  For example:  I just did a card pull where I asked about a person, I thought may be mad at me, the spread came back saying, no, in fact they are living their best life, and trying their best to evolve, let them have space to do so.  It went on to say, that the issue is more about my closed energy and holding onto something I should work on releasing. It’s not always easy to hear these things, but it’s so rewarding and to do so and empty out all my thoughts onto paper.  I know not everyone resonates with journaling; it takes time, your hand cramps and life is busy.  Sometimes I do voice notes instead, or online blogs to just empty out my thoughts, but writing has always just been something I value deeply and have been doing since I was very young.   Automatic writing, if you are unfamiliar with that term is a form of divination when you sit and just write until it feels like spirit takes the wheel and the insight that comes up feels like it’s coming from a higher form.

When you take time to find ways that make you feel more grounded in your body, but free in your mind, what you are actively doing is telling yourself energetically “I got you”!  Regardless of how much money you may have or the millions of energy healing facilitators who claim you need their help to do so, you know that all you really need is you and your connection to yourself.  I encourage this so much, because if you do decide to book with me, it should serve as a confirmation of things you already had an idea of and simply as a reset that doesn’t break you down or open you up to a place where you are uncomfortable or feel overly exposed.  Of course, tears are welcomed in our sessions and happen a lot, but it is usually a thing of beauty as opposed to codependent trauma bonding.  My hope is at least one one of these suggestions have helped you today.  Much love to you!
